Time to update the flagship web site

The bright colors used on the website in 2000 were now dated and a new product “EganSystem Metallic” led the brand to a very clean white look.

The changes were largely cosmetic for the public views.  The catalog was changing very rapidly and print brochures were where most of the effort focused. It was a very busy time for the Egan & TeamBoard. Global pressure and competition were fierce and a great deal of energy was pouring into new products, new markets in Europe, Australia and South America.  The back-end resources for Representatives and Customer Service were also expanding rapidly. This link will discuss that side of the web site.

The images of the site cover the “Metallic” version of the site from 2004 through 2011 and were pulled from the Alexa Wayback machine .

Egan PowerX Launch 2003

TeamBoard is an interactive whiteboard used in presentations and education with global market presence.

TeamBoard can be used with any presentation software however explaining and teaching how was expensive and alternatives were sought.

In 2003 a variant of the TeamBoard was created to support Microsoft PowerPoint directly. There were other OEM versions of the TeamBoard being directly marketed by other companies as well.

The very simple website that was created to support PowerX ran as an automatic slide show repeating with the then new HTML meta tag “refresh:1000” as long as the browser was open. View the gallery here.

  • Editable by team in an online content editor module (PHP-MySQL)
  • LAMP (Linux operating system, Apache webserver, MySQL database and PHP code framework) site

TeamBoard.com launched in the fall of 1996 with an edgy look for the times.

Coded by hand the site used graphic links which was very Avant Garde. (Many sites at that moment in time were still using text links.)

The initial site featured:

  • Graphic menu navigation
  • Text embellishments: Drop Cap paragraphs
